One hour from Athens in the heart of the Saronic Gulf the island of Agistri makes the perfect holiday base for day trips to many famous historic sites.

You may visit the Acropolis in Athens, or the temple of Aphea on the nearby island of Aegina. Or we can arrange a tour of the Argolis peninsular visiting Mycenae, the city of Agamemnon; Corinthos, the ancient city and historic canal ; and the theatre at Epidavros to see modern productions of classical plays.

The 2010 daily rates quoted are for a double room with sea-view and include continental buffet breakfast, all taxes, air-conditioning and transfers between the port on Agistri and the hotel.

May and October - 65 Euro
July and August - 85 Euro
June and September - 75 Euro

The restaurant also provides á la carte breakfast and dinner is served on the open-air terrace overlooking the sea.

Though night-life is limited to a few bars and cafés the island of Agistri does offer facilities for sailing, snorkling, horse-riding and over 50 kms of forest trails for hiking or hiring mountain bikes.

HOW TO GET THERE


From Athens airport, buses (80 minutes), taxis (40 minutes) or the metro (60 minutes) will get you to Gate 8 in the port of Piraeus from where fast hydrofoils and car-ferries sail directly to Agistri.

Please contact the Club for any advice including boat schedules and pickup from the port on Agistri.
If required the Club will arrange over-night hotel accommodation in Athens or Piraeus.
